The FIRST Room has two large windows in the southwest corner of the second floor. American Empire furniture includes a large hand-carved high-post queen-size mahogany bed with fish-net canopy, a spindle-turned single bed, an antique dresser, and antique work tables as bedside tables. The private adjoining bathroom is modern and full equipped. A large closet provides extra pillows, blankets.
The FRONT Room has three large windows in the northeast corner of the second floor. American Empire antiques include a maple low-post queen-size bed, a spindle-work single bed, a maple and mahogany chest of drawers, a Hepplewhite desk, and two Empire end tables. A large walk-in closet provides extra pillows, blankets. The private adjoining modern bath with a tub-shower has two sinks.
This OAK Room has two large windows in the southeast corner of the second floor. The American Golden Oak suite, purchased in 1903 for the newly-wed couple (Mimi's grandparents) whose photograph hangs above the mantel, includes a queen bed with high carved headboard, two bedside tables, a work table, a mirrored dresser, and a washstand. The single bed of wrought iron is decoratively painted by a Baton Rouge artist. The private adjoining bath has a tub/shower. A large closet provides extra pillows & blankets.
